What is Dilatation Agency?
We are a marketing and public relations startup. Sheila Estaniel founded the agency after more than a decade in the industry. She’s worked with Fortune 500 companies, collaborated with fashion weeks and film festivals, and coordinated campaigns with various partners from Project Runway, the Food Network, and even the Trade Commission of Peru. She’s worked on campaigns that have been featured on broadcast television and featured in publications like the LA Times.
The agency currently specializes in the food, fashion, lifestyle, women-owned, and wellness space.
What does the agency's name mean?
Dilatation (diləˈtāSHən) means to dilate, expand. While dilation refers to a condition that happens naturally, dilatation is induced and changes a thing in a specific way. This is similar to raising awareness and visibility for your product or service. It’s not going to just do it on its own. You need to make it happen, intentionally and strategically.
“A lot of the marketing words I wanted to use for the agency had already been taken. I looked up ‘amplify’ on thesaurus.com and this came up. I liked it because dilation is related to giving birth, and it’s like I’m giving birth to the business. Also, your eyes dilate when you’re excited about something, and that’s what we want to do. Get people excited about you and what your company is about.”
